Quick Rundown of Trail Divas Hiking Levels~

Level 1: Walkers~ who prefer not to leave the pavement & stay close to restrooms. Good for those beginning a condition program, have young children to bring along, and looking for girl-time while they walk.

Level 2: Walkers & Hikers~ who want to see some new places & willing to work a bit to see them. Good for those who can hike 3-6 miles in sandy or slightly rocky terrain, looking for adventure with other gals, also might have elevation climb.

Level 3: Hikers & Scramblers~ who don't mind the essence of the outdoors on them when they return. Good for those who have the condition and time to get out to further places & can hike 4-10 miles. Expect elevation climb!

Common sense suggestions for walkers & hikers~

  • Stay alert and tuned into your surroundings!
  • Walk confidently.
  • Trust your instincts! If something or someone makes you uneasy, avoid the person or leave the area!
  • Stick to well-lighted, well-traveled areas. Avoid shortcuts through wooded areas, unlit parking lots, isolated pathways, or alleys.
  • If you walk on a regular basis, vary your timing and route.
  • Walk with a companion!!! Your dog is also a good deterrent.
  • Always tell someone where you are going and when you expect to be back!
